Is this a "No Greater Joy" event?
No. This shindig was started in response to the Pearls realization of a need for fellowship with like-minded Christians. If you enjoy the teachings of the Pearls the shindig is a great place to meet other like-minded families!
Who will attend?
Christian families and singles from across North America. The Shindig is a great opportunity to fellowship, build connections and friendships, and be encouraged and edified in the Lord by other like-minded families!
How many people will be there?
We are predicting 40 Famililes, 300 total .
Will singles be there?
Yes. We are expecting many singles to attended. There will also be activities specifically for singles.
Do we bring our own food?
Yes.We will plan evening potlucks and a few catered meal opportunities for those wishing to eat & fellowship together.
Is there a place to prepare food?
Yes. If you rent a cabin you will have a full kitchen for preparing your meals. For those camping in a tent, there are a few kitchens available for your use. Each kitchen supplies limited pots, pans, & dishes. It is recommended to bring your own cookware. (Breakfast & lunch on your own.)
Are accommodations still available?
Yes! Please contact Salmon Lake Park for availability.
What is the Market?
The market is available free to anyone wanting to sell handmade gifts or crafts. There will be a building or area set up with specific hours for open. Tables provided.
Can we stay at the camp before or after the shindig?
Yes. Salmon Lake is an RV Park open to Shindig families only between May 8th - 14th, 2020. The Park welcomes guests to arrive early or stay later if your accomodations are available. See Salmon Lake Park for details.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. $25 Pet deposit for cabins only. Specific rules to follow. See Salmon Lake Park for rules.
Are bicycles allowed? Golf Carts?
Yes. Yes. There will also be golf carts available to rent.
Is there swimming?
Yes. Salmon Lake is specifically a swimming lake only. Please dress modest while swimming. No open shoulders or thighs please. No life guard on duty. Males and females please wear shirts and swim shorts.
Is ice available at the Park?
Yes. For a small fee $2 per bag.
Is fishing aloud in the swimming lake?
What kind of dancing will be at the Shindig?
Historical set dancing.
